heads up guys!!

So curious about this: Do really guys find it hard to meet for the first time, their girlfriend’s parents..siblings..friends..plus the guy best friend?!

Courting rituals or ”pamamanhikan” is still very much alive here in the Philippines most especially on the province. Compare before, wherein our male ancestors had to do the “pag-iigib ng tubig or “pagsisibak ng kahoy” just to have the approval of the girl’s parents, suitors today have much easier and a burden free techniques, just bringing flowers to mom, being extra polite, knowing the stuffs that dad wants, and assure him (dad) to bring their daughter at 10PM on the dot (or else you’ll be going home with a black eye). But past or present…how do guys prepare for their first visit on their girlfriend’s house? hmmm..

Meeting the family…
Most of the guys still agree that when courting a girl, they are also courting the family, ’coz it’s a sign of “pakikisama” and showing how sincere they are with their intentions to the girl. It can also help the parents to get to know more about the guy and vice versa.

Heads up: guys..be sure to be honest as you are, don’t always play so nice or always agree or say “its ok,” …like for example, the mom prepares food which you don’t really like or you don’t even eat that at all, but you pretend you like it..that’s a NO NO..you must be polite enough to say that “I don’t eat this”, so the next time you visit, the family will prepare food that you could eat.

A guy said, build rapport…be kind to the eldest aunt up to the youngest aunt…mingle with the siblings in that way the family will able to see that you are really serious with the girl.

Heads up: how to build rapport? Research..dig down into that person’s interest..if the brother is into gadgets or a tech buff…be sure that you’re updated with that…that starts the conversation…

Going out with her friends…and a guy best friend…
Some get along easily with their girlfriend’s “tropa”, some are not…but it really depends on how the guy would react and welcome that set of friends of his girl. At first, it is acceptable that guys are aloof meeting the friends…’coz it like you’re getting a perfect timing or thinking of a good joke to crack…”cyempre like mo ‘magpa-good shoot’ eh..” ( eh we girls pa naman, likes to ask what our best friend’s opinion, if you are ok with them…hehehe…lagot!!)

Guy best friend…hmmm..it’s like a threaten to the guy (boyfriend)…especially if the guy best friend courts his girl on the past…or the guy best friend likes the girl too…tsk..tsk..tsk …but not all guy best friends are like that huh…be calm as possible as you can..un lang the guy act sort of like a body guard to his girlfriend…like as if he can build barriers…am I right guys? I can’t blame you for that…

Remember this…it is not really important to impress the family, siblings or the friends…the important is to show really who you are…’coz if it’s not…your like wearing a mask…you pretend…and that could come up or it may result into unhealthy relationship…guys…always remember that the girl really loves you if she can accept the whole thing and all true or negative about you..be good to your girlfriends!!!

chocolate recipe for the day...

Good day everyone...since i love chocolates...i will feature delicious chocolate recipes here every monday...hope you enjoy and try this recipes..happy eating!!!

White-Chocolate Mousse Parfaits

4 oz. good-quality white chocolate, chopped
1-1/2 cups heavy cream
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Pinch salt
1 ripe mango, cut into small chunks
20 gingersnaps or chocolate wafers, crushed

Melt the white chocolate in a small, heatproof bowl over simmering water or in a microwave. Stir until smooth. Set the chocolate aside and proceed immediately; the chocolate needs to be very warm for this speedy recipe to succeed.

Pour the cream into a medium bowl and add the vanilla and salt. Beat with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until the cream forms firm but not stiff peaks, about 2 to 3 min. (Don't go too far or the cream will curdle when the chocolate is beaten in.) Scrape the very warm white chocolate into the cream. Continue beating on medium-high speed until well blended and firm, about 30 seconds. The mousse should form a dollop when dropped from a spoon.

To serve, spoon the mousse into tall glasses, alternating with layers of the mango chunks and crushed cookies.

but above anything else...i search for their history...and this is what i found...

Shih Tzu is a dog breed originated in China. It is reported to be the oldest and smallest Tibetan holy dogs. They exist back to at least 17th century or as much as 2000 years from now. Believed to be a cross breed of the Lhasa Apso and Pekingese.

Also known as:

- “Xi Shi quan,” came from the name of Xi Shi, the most beautiful woman of ancient China.
- Chrysanthemum Dog, because its face looks like the flower.
- Chinese or Tibetan Lion Dog or Tibetan temple dog, because of its lion-like look it is being associated with the Tibetan Snowlion.

They are characterized by their long, flowing double coats of soft, silky, multi-colored fur; sturdy build; intelligence; and a friendly, stubborn, lively attitude. Have a snout, large eyes, and a palm-like tail.

Can weigh between 9 to 16 pounds, can grow taller as much as 9 to 10 ½ inches, and can live for 13-15 years. They are considered to be snub-nosed (brachycephalic) dogs; very sensitive to high temperatures; classified as toy dog or companion dog and as a hypoallergenic pet.

Crunchy Bread Dressing with Bacon and Leeks
Recipe courtesy of Williams-Sonoma.com

Ingredients
1-lb. loaf rustic country bread, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
8 thick-cut bacon slices, about 8 oz. total, cut into 1/4-inch dice
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 leeks, white portion only, halved lengthwise, sliced crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick slices and rinsed well
2 carrots, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch dice
Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
1 cup turkey or chicken stock, plus more as needed
1 cup milk
1 tsp. chopped fresh thyme
1 cup chopped green onions, green portion only
1 garlic clove, minced
Preparation
1. Preheat an oven to 375ºF.
2. Butter a 13-by-9-inch baking dish.
3. Spread the bread out on a baking sheet and toast in the oven until lightly golden, 15 to 20 minutes. Set aside.
4. In a large fry pan over medium heat, fry the bacon, stirring occasionally, until crispy and golden, 4 to 6 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate. Set aside.
5. In another large fry pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the leeks, carrots and garlic and sauté, stirring occasionally, until tender, 5 to 7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
6. In a large bowl, combine the bread, bacon, the leek mixture, the 1 cup stock, milk, thyme, green onions, salt and pepper and stir gently to mix. If the dressing seems dry, add more stock as needed.
7. Transfer the dressing to the prepared baking dish and bake until crispy and golden, about 1 hour. Serves 10 to 12.
8. Note: If desired, you can pack the dressing loosely in the body and neck cavities of the turkey. Secure the neck flap with kitchen string or pin it to the back with toothpicks or trussing pins. Tying the legs together will help hold the stuffing in the body cavity. For turkeys weighing 16 pounds or less, add 30 minutes to the total roasting time. For turkeys weighing more than 16 pounds, add 1 hour to the total roasting time.

Have a break...Have a bath

Got comments from a few friends…stating that,” I resign so I can be a good mom to Patrick”…hahaha…wish that “Patrick” is really a baby boy…I will be much willing to resign to take care of him…but for now I will take care of my ‘lil puppy, while still not busy for a job and still having no real baby at the moment (guys there’s a time for that…wedding preparations first)…well..well..well

“Patrick” is so “kulit”…I bathe him this morning and he’s trying to escape the tub as I lather his fur. Unfortunately I can’t take him pictures that time…He shivers after the bathe so I carry him and dry him with a towel. He huddles on my lap and got sleep while I caress him. So cute of him…take a look on these pics…

After waking up he always look for his milk, then wants to play with you , threaten you with his funny, softly/flimsy barks, got tired then sleep again...he really loves sleeping, eating and playing. Still a baby he really is.

At night, he doesn’t cry at all. I just leave him sleeping on his place beside the stairs (when I put him there he already knows that it is “sleeping time”.

Lovin’ this puppy so much…can’t wait him to grow up and have his furs covering his eyes…v ^.^ v

5 reasons why girls don’t like to go out with a guy

Egotism
Who wants a self-centered guy? “BIG EGO means BIG HEAD” Girls might think that you are too busy thinking about yourself all the time, so how could you possibly have time to think and care about her .

Self Confidence
Girls do like guys who are confident to themselves, ‘coz if not, how do you expect her to be confident with you. Ooppss!!! Be careful not to be over in confidence, ‘coz we girls don’t like that… not a single portion of it.

Immaturity
Grow up! How she can take you seriously if she always sees you fooling around, play silly jokes and not taking things seriously. We understand that there still a child within us, being jolly person is not bad but take some time to be serious enough.

Attitude
This really matters most. Girls want a guy who is responsible, respectful, so on and so forth..but of course girls can’t change who you are not unless if you really love her and wanted to change for good… it’s a great pleasure.

Looks/Appearance
Even if you’re not a good looking guy, it is important that you know how to take care of yourself, ‘coz this might be the first one to be notice. Try to think of this, or at least be guided “First Impressions Last” and remember this, girls might think of “how can he take care of me if he can’t take care of himself?”

I’m a SpongeBob SquarePants fanatic…

SpongeBob SquarePants don’t get my attention the first time I saw it on t.v. ‘coz I don’t like the characters appearance. I mean I don’t like the way it has been illustrated. I usually enjoy and go for anime which is almost perfect in terms of graphics and illustrations of each character. But my cousins really love that program. The ending is, they influenced me and so I got hooked up.

At first, Patrick is my favorite character, because he is “pink” literally colored pink. But as I watch the cartoons I’m starting to enjoy how SpongeBob portrays funny and wackiest character I ever saw in cartoons. I never stop laughing when watching him and Patrick crack their lines.

One day at the office the topic about SpongeBob was brought up during our lunch break. A colleague of mine told us, “I don’t allow my kids to watch SpongeBob , ‘coz they might become idiot and lazy.” ("Kabobohan lang matutuhan nila dun"), she said. I can’t blame her ‘coz most of the episodes depict oddity. But in fairness to the program there’s a lesson to be learned at the end and I wanted to commend them for that. SpongeBob and other characters realize the mistakes they commit and always try their best to correct it. That is important in every program aired in t.v. target kids as audience.

I want to encourage parents to spare some time in accompanying their children when watching t.v. So they can teach them the good things to be picked up and bad things not to follow ‘coz in that way the children will understand what is going on and what is the moral lesson of the episodes.

SpongeBob Squarepants and Friends

Who says animated cartoons are just for kids!? We all can still watch cartoons, it’s a good stress reliever. They say, “Laughter is the best medicine”. I found myself laughing at the characters and their lines in cartoons and I think this won’t leave my vains… ”watching cartoons” yipee!!! I knew people and I have friends at my age still loves and enjoy watching it. That's not a bad thing. Right now I’m addicted to SpongeBob…and here’s the character list and I wanted to share it with you…
