One of the greatest blessing ni God for me, is to be able to produce milk for my boys. Hindi halata, pero sobrang gifted sa milk supply. A roller coaster experience, different emotions and lot of sacrifices, but it is all worth it. Never will I exchange this gift for anything else, because of this I am sure that I was able to give them the strong immunity that lasts until they get old.
Five years na. Yes, five years and counting, I tandem feed my three boys. Kuya stopped when he's 3yrs and 6 months old, because I got pregnant with baby Zan. Diko is turning 3yrs old on the 30th, so let's see if he will stop at 3yrs old like his kuya. While Baby Zan has a long way to go pa, he's turning 1 this November. So, I think I still have 2-3 more years to enjoy being touched, cuddled, embraced, and looked at. Ang sarap sa feeling yung need ka nila. I'll enjoy this moment until then, because this won't last long.
For those who are curious, I never stopped breastfeeding them while I am pregnant. Some will say kasi na dapat mag stop na. It's a case to case basis naman. You're OB will advice you when to stop, especially if you have delicate pregnancies. Thankful to have a breastfeeding advocate OB, she never asked me to stop. Shout out to Dra. Mariet Lavin-Labanen @drmlavin (Sabi mo hindi dapat kita nami-miss).
Now.. let's calculate..let's see how much have we saved..
